We are often asked by guests for the recipe we use for our home made bread so we thought we'd pop it on the website blog for all to see and use if they wish.
Currently we're using a seeded malted bread flour for our 'wholemeal brown' bread which the guests seem to enjoy very much with Deborah's home made marmalade!
We have a Panasonic breadmaker so the ingredients list and instructions below may need to be changed if you use a different make or if you like to use your hands.
The settings we use on the breadmaker are: large size loaf, medium crust, 4 hour program.
1 teaspoon dried 'easy bake' yeast
200g seeded malted bread flour (with sunflower, pumpkin & millet seeds)
300g strong stoneground wholemeal flour
1 tablespoon caster sugar
1.5 tablespoons dried skimmed milk powder
1.5 teaspoons salt
350 ml water
